The Jaguar CPUs were dog slow vs the GPU compared to the 360/PS3, Consoles were now part of the scope that affected PC ports due to their architecture, and they were AMD so Nvidia didn't have any incentive for GPU acceleration on Consoles, and the x87 code would have been slow.

Feels very different to any other sonic game in moment to moment gameplay. I think it's a big step behind Unleashed + DLC and modern Gens, but much better than what I played of Forces.
