May 8, 2018 · In the file path specified, I tried copying an existing icon and renaming it to (OLE2.DLL) to see if it picked it up, it didn't work. As soon as I renamed the file, the PDF picture displaying for the icon went away. Most recently - Adobe PDF, PDF X, and PDF FoxIt were not showing PDF thumbnails in Microsoft Windows 11. In "Files and Folders" - "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is Unchecked and applied. Cleared the thumbnail cache using Disk Cleanup.
