Nov 30, 2022 · Last time my friend and I did wing day we did beef tallow as the oil. That's right, pure beef fat to deep fry wings and french fries. We double fried the wings and fries. Best goddamn wings and fries I've ever had in my life. My friend is a butcher and can obtain tons of beef fat for free.

Feb 5, 2018 · In the UK we have Fries, Chips and Wedges. Fries: <5mm thick. Kinda stuff you'd get at McDonald's Chips: ~15mm thick. Stuff you'd get in "fish and chips" Wedges: proper thick (~25mm) outside really fried, inside still potatoey. Less common but tend to be eaten with BBQ sauce, not ketchup

Feb 2, 2023 · Correct me if I'm wrong but the story of French fries dates back to either ww1 or ww2 when American soldiers would question the French soldiers what they were eating and the replied with "frites" or fries. American soldiers got used to calling them French fries. Though there origin was actually from Belgium.
