It now refers to Sunny, not Omori, and Basil describes him as "comfortable, humble" and, to me which is an absolute proof of a crush, "perfect". The photo album also present more photos of Sunny than the others.

Jul 26, 2021 · Omori is Sunny’s defence mechanism and therefore doesn’t want Sunny to be reminded of what happened on that day. Basil obviously has a connection to what happened on that day, so Omori makes his headspace friends gradually forget about Basil to prevent Sunny from finding out about the truth (and the trauma) that’s linked to Basil.

Nov 17, 2022 · Take that Basil was also trying to kill himself, so leaving aside the rpg mechanics, in a realistic scenario he could've also self-inflicted some of those wounds. And while the game tells us that “Basil attacks Sunny” and “Sunny attacks Basil”, remember that the rpg mechanics aren’t a real part of the world, as seen in previous scenarios.
